Maybe. I just see that as a table issue.

What difference does it make if a particular feat from WotC 5e makes it into the 5.2 books? It's all supposedly the same game right?

And is there a problem with feeling that way? Are we required to pleasantly accept every new thing whether we like it or not? Can we not express dissatisfaction if in our opinion the new doesn't equal the old, or doesn't fit with it? I'm not saying that's how I feel here, but its a legitimate...

New stuff, it should be said, doesn't have to cancel out or replace old stuff.

The upcoming Voidrunner's Codex for Level Up puts psychic powers front and center, and from what I've seen so far I like it. For another take, our own @Steampunkette released Paranormal Power for Level Up not long ago, and it's Great! Have an esper from that book in my current game.

There's a vocal group out there that think social crimes of that sort shouldn't be depicted at all, even for villains.

It's presented as player-side mechanics, so that makes sense.

I don't have an informed opinion about ToV yet, but largely compatible or not Level Up is not a 5e almost-clone.

We rolled for it every time, got it a few times, and used the monsters appropriately. In 2e and 3e I played psionicists or psions, or had them in my group at one time or another, and ditto for 4e, and now my hybrid Level Up-based game. Psionics has always been part of D&D for me.

Well sure, but that only works the way you say if you stop caring. I never stopped caring about the stuff in D&D to which I am now told I am irrelevant.

I'm not sure how true that is, actually. The 1e monster books absolutely integrate psionics where appropriate.

Like I said, wonderful to hear how little you matter regarding something that has mattered so much to you over most of your life.
