I couldn't agree with this more than completely! Fortunately, since feats are optional, you can have all you want, and I can ignore 75, 100, or 1000 of them just as easily. :)

Or they could just come up with their own thing? You could keep the same premise, kids from our world trapped in a D&D world looking for a way home, but make new characters, new stories, etc. Maybe even have the original characters show up in small parts, but really make something new. I just...

It only showed up a few times, because the chances of getting it was extremely low! It was ALWAYS AVAILABLE, and if monster had it I used it. So, I used it in all my 1E games I guess, if it showed up...

Anyone have a precis of this OP they would like to share? I just can't deal with all the Snarfiness of it, but firmly believe in the less is more design concept... as long as it fulfills the goal of the design as well.

Response to the cover art (and back cover art): :unsure: Sigh... :rolleyes: Don't care for them--at all. :( They have ONE redeeming feature IMO: most of the weapons and items are not "glowing with magical POWER!!!". But why do they keep showing stuff like this when few games ever play like...

Yeah, that is wrong... Paladin counts as half-level, so 4 levels, and Sorcerer counts full, +2 levels. This PC has the spell slots of a 6th level caster. Just 4 1st-level slots. The sorcerer points could add another.
