Its OK. I get doing a montage of iconic NPCs, but (like the PHB cover) the execution falls flat IMO. If they wanted to play on nostalgia, I wish they just did modern takes of the 1e covers to celebrate the 50th anniversary.

Looks interesting - like a coffee table book on the lore and history on some of the major settings. What we really sell me on it though would be if it included some actual gaming content, like random encounter tables or maps of some of the major cities or adventuring sites.

And possibly further evidence of why the setting was a good choice for the DMG.

Greyhawk is really perfect for this - generic enough, and a crazy quilt of nations and cultures. I'd love to see updates on the Circle of 8, Iuz, and other iconics from the world.

Are you referring to the episode when they were both placed in the Octagon? More seriously (and setting aside nostalgia), I do like the art style and presentation of this piece. Would have preferred something similar in tone for the front cover, but that's just me.
