You don't. Rather the doors in Hangman's Alley start out locked and you can just... fail to unlock them.

I think my simple, spoiler free comment on the first two episodes is, "Too soon." And once you see it you may understand why.

I have been using Hangman's Alley in my current playthrough. The only thing that is a bit annoying is that the spawn location is locked in front of the one door. Which normally might not be a problem but I purposely left the doors locked and use the awning in the alley off the river to jump...

It's mostly about not level locking areas to lower than their max and making sure the highest xp monsters respawn. Most players probably do not care about that sort of thing but some might.

I have been working on a rough guide to dungeon levels for the Commonwealth map. Not by looking at the game data or anything - the hard way: by levelling up to extremely high levels to ensure the highest level potential enemies spawn. The theory being that the max "dungeon level" will be...

I was just looking for one of my old PbP threads and came across one that suggested I had last posted in it in 2022. That just seems... wrong. That was only two years ago, and I could have sworn I quit PbP closer to the beginning of the Pandemic at the latest. Certainly not the week before...
